**The role**

This an exciting, permanent and key role in Anglicare’s Organisational Development (OD) team. The Internal Communication and Engagement Specialist will work at both a strategic and operational level to build strong partnerships with stakeholders to plan and deliver an engaging internal communication and employee engagement strategy using a range of communication channels. In this role, you will be the central voice to the OD team and help strengthen information sharing to our 3,000 staff and 300 volunteers to significantly uplift our culture of engagement and collaboration.

Some duties of the role include, but are not limited to;
- Develop and deliver an internal communications and engagement strategy in partnership with executives and senior stakeholders which engages employees and volunteers in organisational initiatives and goals
- Spread excitement, build energy, create engagement for change and also respond to challenges with respect, confidence, diplomacy and professionalism
- Develop and refine appropriate communication channels to ensure the right audience is engaging with the appropriate content
- Work closely with the business units to identify opportunities for innovative and engaging content and tools that encourages cross-organisational communications and collaboration
- Plan and organise events which encourage a two-way dialogue between management and employees, as well as colleagues in different teams to encourage knowledge sharing
- Provide reports to relevant stakeholders on the effectiveness of internal communication and engagement strategies and activities

**A bit about you**

You will be someone who can communicate and influence, with confidence, charisma and professionalism. You know how to change your communication style to suit your audience: you can be talking to an executive one minute and a handyman the next with the same level of respect and interest. You are passionate about creating engaging content which ‘cuts through’ and grabs the attention of our staff, so they can be taken on a journey and be hooked on the story we are creating together.
- Degree in Human Resources, Communications, or a similar field (desirable)
- Accreditation/ certification in Change Management (desirable)
- Ability and willingness to travel within the service region
- Experience working with senior stakeholders to develop and deliver internal communication and employee engagement strategies to build employee connection and collaboration
- Proven ability to utilise multimodal engagement strategies including but not limited to electronic media, face-to-face communication, roadshows, events, meetings and printed materials
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to positively influence outcomes and develop and maintain productive working relationships.
