About the role
Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Public Accounts and Audit, you will assist in fulfilling the Committee's statutory functions in relation to the Victorian Auditor-General's Office (VAGO) and the Parliamentary Budget Office, including follow up of VAGO audits and own motion inquiries.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in undertaking audits or complex investigations, inquiries or reviews.
About you
You will be adept at identifying, analysing and synthesising complex issues, and conflicting evidence and data. Your communication and interpersonal skills will be a strength, as is your capacity to be flexible and respond well to change. You will be tertiary qualified and a good working knowledge of Australian and Victorian auditing practices and standards and relevant legislative frameworks. The preparation of succinct, high quality written analysis on complex issues in tight timeframes for a non-technical audience will be a strength.
