**Job Description**:
As a Systems Analyst, you will join our operations and transformation actuarial team. This role is suited to someone with strong programming and data modelling skills. You will join a team of analysts where you will be responsible for support month end processes, developments and enhancements as well as support several transformation projects.
In this role you will:
- Ensure Life Actuarial business critical systems solution outputs are delivered and on time, including use of running and updating ETL tools and SQL scripts
- Generate and deliver data files from already automated processes
- Provide troubleshooting for business-critical processes
- Provide ongoing support and administration of the databases and BI solutions
- Perform research and analysis to support accurate and technically sound recommendations
- Provide consultation services to the Actuarial team for general system related queries
- Trace data anomalies and general problem solving
- Liaise with Actuarial analysts and key stakeholders including senior management
- Build relationships across several business units
- Participate in transformation projects as required
- Work with stakeholders to understand requirements, specify and build end to end customised solutions
**Qualifications**:
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology/Software Engineering or equivalent
- Strong experience in in SQL architecture, design, documentation, and migration
- SQL scripting & SQL Server
- Experience in data extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using ETL tools (such as Pentaho) and defining data and transformation requirements
- Development of databases and data structures
- Systems and/or database administration
- Advanced MS Access & MS Excel
- Ability to work autonomously, be pro-active and take initiative
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working within an Agile environment
