**About the Role**
Our Yarra Valley Water contract is seeking a Civil Operations Coordinator to support the Civil Operations Manager (OM) in delivering safe, efficient, and compliant civil services under the YVW contract.
- This role assists in managing daily operations, coordinating teams, monitoring performance, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. It acts as a key liaison between field teams and leadership, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
- Other role responsibilities include:

- Assist the Civil Operations Manager in mentoring and guiding the operations team.
- Promote collaboration across departments (e.g., Finance, Commercial, SHEQ).
- Build and maintain strong and positive client relationship, positively representing Ventia’s brand and values.
- Support the Finance Team in maintaining WIP.
- Identify, develop and implement innovations and new ways of working to support Yarra Valleys Water strategies and Ventia’s strategy of Redefining Service Excellence.
- Monitor daily civil works delivery and escalate issues as needed.
- Assist in tracking KPIs, budgets, and compliance with contractual obligations.
- Help identify operational risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Prepare draft reports and updates for review by the Civil Operations Manager.
- Coordinate resources to meet work plans and schedules.
- Support initiatives that foster a diverse, inclusive, and respectful workplace.
- Represent Ventia positively in interactions with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Assist both commercial and OM with subcontractor management.
- Support the OM with all governance, commercial, regulatory and industrial obligations.

**About You**
- Extensive operations management or project leadership experience
- Water industry experience - preferred but not essential
- Diploma in Project Management or Equivalent
- Engineering qualification (Degree/Diploma) in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical - desirable but not essential
