
Boarding House Supervisors

We are seeking to appoint people who are passionate about supporting the needs of our students who
spend the majority of the year living away from home. For many of our students, boarding provides
them with the opportunity to engage in learning, co-curricular and social activities that may otherwise
not be available to them.
Our Boarding House Supervisors provide supervision of students within the Boarding House and at
activities. They also work as a team to monitor and support the physical and emotional wellbeing of
each student.
We have the potential for part-time and casual vacancies in Boys and Girls Boarding for suitable
**Selection criteria**
1. A passion for working with young people and be a resilient, caring, and positive person.
2. A practical understanding of the physical, emotional, and social issues facing students from a
diverse range of backgrounds, living in a residential environment.
3. The ability to work effectively as a part of a small, dedicated team.
4. Qualifications in Counselling or Youth Work would be highly desirable.
5. The ability to commit to working outside of normal hours, including evenings and weekends is
time.
6. Current Open Driver’s Licence.
7. The ability to obtain a Positive Notice (Blue Card) for child-related employment in Queensland.
