**About the Position**
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Governance Project Officer to join our Governance Business Unit. In this senior position, you will be managing key governance projects, including elections and local government reform, and providing expert advice to the Executive and Council on governance issues.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead and ensure the successful delivery of Council elections under the Optional Preferential Voting System.
- Manage the implementation of Local Government reform across the City.
- Provide specialist advice on governance issues to the Manager Governance, Executive, and Council.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, and other governance-related documents.
- Develop and maintain relationships with Federal, State, and Local Government bodies.
- Attend Council and Committee Meetings to provide advice and answer questions as required
**About You**
- Experience in the implementation of legislative reform and coordination of local government elections.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and/or demonstrated equivalent experience.
- Advanced written communication skills and the ability to prepare unsupervised reports.
- Excellent understanding of local government governance and meeting procedures.
- Proven time management and planning skills.
- Ability to provide sound advice on governance issues in a politically sensitive manner.
- Experience in attending Council and Committee Meetings.

This maximum term position is for 12 months working a minimum of 3 days per week. The part time position is a Level 8 Inside Workforce Agreement positions which attract a salary from $106,999.38 to $112,630.07 gross pro rata per annum plus superannuation.
