**An exciting opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and highly experienced Data Coordinator to join our Submissions Team.**
**Details of Department**
The Submissions Team is part of the Performance and Reporting Department which is responsible for five key areas:
- **Clinical Reporting & Analytics**:
- **Corporate Reporting**:
- **Health Information Services (HIS)**:
- **Data Services**:
- **Reporting & Analytical Projects**:

The Data Coordinator Role is responsible for the accurate and timely submission of data to the Department of Health (DHS) mandatory datasets including (but not limited to):
- **Victorian Admitted Episode Dataset (VAED)**:
- **Victorian Emergency Minimum Dataset (VEMD)**:
- **Victorian Integrated Non-Admitted Health Dataset (VINAH)**:
- **Elective Surgery Information System (ESIS)**:
- **Agency Information Management System (AIMS)**:
- **Victorian Perinatal Data Collection (VPDC)**
The Data Coordinator role is a customer focused role and will actively engage with, and provide education and support, to all areas of Austin Health that submit data to any of the datasets or areas that use the data for internal and external reporting purposes.
**To be successful in this role you must demonstrate/Key responsibilities will include**:
- **Good understanding of the data submission process and mandatory Victorian Healthcare datasets**:
- **Data analysis and problem solving skills**:
- **Attention to detail**:
- **Ability to work independently and within a team environment**:
- **Ability to communicate with staff from a range of profressional backgrounds**:
- **Good organisational, time management, written and verbal communication skills**:
- **Experience in documenting policies, procedures and processes**:
- **Experience in using Microsoft Office**
