Are you passionate about managing and analysing health datasets in a way that can be used by clinical and program teams to drive change in cancer care, reduce variance, and improve cancer outcomes. A rewarding opportunity exists for an innovative and dedicated **NEMICS Health Data Manager**.

NEMICS is one of Victoria’s cancer services improvement networks. We are hosted by Austin Health and our members organisations also include Austin Health, Eastern Health, Mercy Hospital for Women, and Northern Health. **About NEMICS**:
NEMICS is funded by the Victorian Department of Health and is one of nine cancer services improvement networks. We deliver strategic cancer services improvement aligned with the Victorian Cancer Plan, VICS Implementation Plan, Optimal Care Pathways, and local priorities. Our team delivers excellence, innovation, collaboration, and initiatives with impact. Our program utilises evidence, data, and co-design to deliver innovative cancer services improvement.

**About the role**:
A **Health Data Manager** will deliver the management, provision, analysis, and interpretation of health information and datasets to facilitate cancer services performance, activity, and improvement monitoring. The role is required to support cancer services strategy, planning, improvement, and evaluation activities that align cancer care with the Optimal Care Pathways and other cancer policy.

**About you**:
Ideally, you’ll have:

- Health data management, health informatics, biostatistics, data science or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and training.
- Demonstrated skills and experience with SQL database design, management, and interrogation.
- Experience working with large, linked health datasets, including clinical and hospital administrative data.
- Demonstrated experience preparing, analysing, and reporting health data, linked health datasets, and program language.
- Demonstrated high-level organisation skills, excellent attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and achieve performance targets.
- An interest in cancer services innovation and improvement.
