As a Support Worker at Russell Healthcare, you will provide personalized assistance to individuals with disabilities, fostering their independence and enhancing their quality of life. You will work closely with participants, families, and the team to deliver exceptional care and build meaningful connections.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living support, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Assist participants in accessing the community, engaging in social activities, and pursuing hobbies or interests.
- Implement support plans tailored to individual goals and needs.
- Monitor and document progress, ensuring clear communication with the care team and families.
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and empowering environment for all participants.
- Adhere to NDIS standards, organizational policies, and work health and safety guidelines.
Essential Criteria:
- A genuine passion for helping others and making a positive impact.
- Experience in disability support or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to adapt to participant needs and schedules.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with participants requiring mental health support or complex care.
- Knowledge of NDIS processes and guidelines.
- Additional certifications, such as Manual Handling or Medication Administration.
