**About the Centre**

South Gippsland SPLASH is owned by South Gippsland Shire Council and managed by YMCA Victoria. As a YMCA community centre, we understand the needs of our members and visitors. We work with a number of community, sports and government bodies to offer opportunities for all our participants. YMCA is the leader in community and recreation facility management. We aim to provide the best in community care and services. Facilities include 25m indoor pool, leisure pool, toddler pool and stadium

**About the role**

The Aquatic Programs Coordinator is an important member of the facility leadership team. Aquatic Programs Coordinators will manage and lead teams of employees within Aquatic Programs and ensure that the delivery of the programs and services meets agreed standards.

They will lead, inspire, and motivate teams through clear and achievable team goals and ensure high standards of implementation of Policies and Procedures. Aquatic Programs leaders may work as part of the Manager on Duty roster, where they provide support to customers and staff across all areas of the facility, and may act as a delegate of the Manager.

This is a full time position with an annual salary of $67,548 + Super.

**About you**

You will be passionate about inspiring and developing water safety and swimming skills in children and young people. Experience in other teaching or coaching roles is a bonus but not necessary. Personal attributes such as patience, respect, and enthusiasm will take you far in this role

- Demonstrate a passion and enthusiasm to teach children to swim
- Provide excellent customer service to parents and students alike
- Be motivated and committed to perform to a high standard
- Be friendly, polite and approachable at all times
- Display interest, enthusiasm, patience and respect to children and peers

**Essential Qualifications**
- First Aid and CPR certificates (or willingness to obtain before commencing - funding may be available)
- Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain before commencing - funding may be available)

**Other Desired Qualifications**
- Teacher of Infants and Preschool Aquatics
- Teacher Developing Competitive Strokes or equivalent
- Teacher of Aquatics - Access and Inclusion
- Teacher of Adults
