**The role**

The primary objective of this role is to build, manage and drive the value of existing and new carbon solutions assets and opportunities through working with the broader business to grow a central Carbon Solutions products and services portfolio.

Key accountabilities:

- Integrate and manage existing assets to maximise their value
- Manage and optimise our clients’ portfolio of carbon credits and related products
- Provide commercial support for Land and Nature Based activities and technical/technology solutions to realise their carbon potential
- Provide industry intelligence to support carbon markets advocacy
- Develop and maintain relationships with external parties, including carbon market participants, regulators, NGOs, Traditional Owner Groups, and banks
- Deliver analysis and economic evaluation of opportunities including decision support papers and strategy assistance.

**About you**

With a minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior commercial roles, you will bring a breadth of commercial transactions, as a minimum: procurement, contracting and M&A experience. You will have demonstrable experience on climate-related matters and carbon markets globally.

Additionally, you will have:

- Tertiary qualification in business, law, commerce, or finance
- Experience working with offset generators, project originators and/or intermediaries such as traders, and service providers
- Prior experience in managing carbon offset origination projects and carbon offset positions
- Knowledge of international carbon offset trading schemes and regulations
- Experience performing carbon market transactions at scale.
