**Your role**

As a Services and Programs Officer, you will:

- Lead the delivery of group-based programs that address the underlying causes of offending.
- Provide tailored support through assessments, case planning, and pre-release preparation.
- Collaborate with individuals under supervision, families, and external agencies to build pathways for reintegration and success.
- Resolve critical situations with expertise and care, offering guidance and referrals where needed.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring high-quality service delivery.

**What you’ll do**

In this role, you will:

- Facilitate group-based programs to reduce reoffending.
- Provide tailored case management, assessments, and support.
- Assist with pre-release planning to ensure smooth community reintegration.
- Collaborate with families and external agencies to promote offender well-being.
- Handle critical situations with professionalism and provide referrals where needed.

**What we’re looking for**

We seek a motivated professional who:

- Understands the unique challenges faced by Aboriginal offenders in the justice system.
- Has expertise in assessment, case management, and intervention for complex behaviours.
- Can confidently lead group and individual sessions, even in challenging environments.
- Demonstrates integrity, resilience, and cultural awareness in all interactions.
- Is committed to completing the Certificate IV in Correctional Practice.

**Essential Requirements**
- Tertiary qualifications in social work, psychology, mental health, or related fields (or equivalent experience).
- Certificate IV in Correctional Practice (or ability to complete through our training).
- Driver’s licence and willingness to travel throughout NSW.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency for ongoing roles.
