Tactical Data Link Specialist

**About the role**:
You will play a pivotal role in planning and managing tactical Data Link networks for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). This role requires a strong understanding of communication networks, protocols and systems. You will be responsible for providing expert advice and will guide the optimisation of Data Link performance and security.

**What you will be involved in**:

- Ability to assess, analyse, and problem solve Defence’s complex strategic network issues
- Act as a trusted advisor for Data Link networks and ensure operational goals (as determined by Defence) are met
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with the client, and make recommendations for process improvement
- Collaborate and support adjacent operational Defence units to achieve outcomes
- Continuously upgrade technical knowledge and skills through participation in industry conferences, workshops, and training programs
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and methodologies to provide innovative solutions to clients.

**What we would like from you**:

- Must be an AU Citizen with a (pre-existing / currently valid) NV2 AGSVA Security Clearance
- At least 5 years of experience in a Defence environment
- Experience with Link 16, S TDL-J, Joint Range Extension Applications Protocol (JREAP) and Defence Strategic Beyond Line of Sight (BLOS) systems
- Proven track record in operating associated Data Link monitoring systems
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical issues and develop a path to desirable solutions
- Completion of AT102 and AT201 courses are highly desirable
