**About The Role**

We're an SEO agency in need of a copywriter to draft web copy and high quality articles for our business clients (health and law sectors). We’re looking for a copywriter to work one day per week.

Do you have excellent writing skills with a flair for words? Can you draft expert web copy, business blogs and guest posts?

This role suits an experienced copywriter looking for extra work, or a junior copywriter looking to enhance their existing portfolio. Business copywriting experience is a must, as well as examples of high quality published material.

**Your Responsibilities**

This is a supportive role to the Director with the following responsibilities:

- Write clear, compelling copy for various mediums (web copy, guest posts, website blogs)
- Draft fun and engaging blogs and guest posts
- Use Google to research content ideas and topics
- Build relationships with external bloggers, publications and webmasters to secure guest post placements

**Essential Criteria - Skills and Experience**

Please address these points in your cover letter:

- You have a degree and relevant experience in Writing, Communications, PR, Journalism or Digital Marketing
- You have at least one year of proven copywriting experience and a portfolio of content to demonstrate this
- You are proficient in Word, Google Docs, Gmail
- You have proven copywriting experience in the health and law sectors

**Benefits and Perks**

**Job Type**: Contractor with scope to expand. 1 day per week, depending on client workload.

**Salary**: Rate of pay negotiable, depending on your experience, up to $40 per hour range.

**Example of Typical Writing Task**

**Web Copy**
- Draft 500 word pages of web copy or blogs for our business clients: health and law focus
- 5 to deliver per month
- Conduct high-quality research
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Reflect the client’s target market and brand style in your writing

**Guest Posts**
- Draft 600 - 1,000 word guest posts related to health, law or business
- 15 - 20 to deliver per month
- Use our AI writer to create the article outline
- Synthesize existing sources of data, research and other high ranking articles to support your main points and the angle you are taking
- Pitch the article to high quality news, blog and topical websites and secure publication
- Deliver a set number of articles per month in a timely manner

**Job Type**: Contract

**Salary**: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
