**The Role**
**What we’re looking for**
The UI designer is responsible for building advocacy through making complex experiences feel intuitive and simple on our responsive websites.
**Must have attributes and experience**
- Strong understanding of UI and visual design patterns and components (e.g. iOS Human Interface Design, Google Material Design)
- Experience documenting pattern libraries and style guides and have a solid understanding of User Centred Design method and practices
- Solid understanding of UI and visual design across responsive and mobile first
- Storyboarding, prototyping and creation of bespoke assets including illustrations, artwork and video
- Producing UI concepts, mock-ups, prototypes, test variants and final designs
- Understand how to translate sketches and wireframes into high fidelity visual designs with appropriate execution of brand colours, typography, iconography and relevant style guide specs
- Working with front-end developers to find efficiencies in UI rendering
- Participating in the testing of designs through a variety of techniques including guerrilla, structured, online and external testing
- Designing and facilitating testing workshops internally and with customers
- Collaborating effectively with UX designers, copywriters, digital content producers, brand, marketing, product owners, business analysts and developers
- Ensuring new projects are created to WCAG 2.0 AA web standards and conform to style guides and other digital standards
- Presenting to, and working closely with, QA and test teams to ensure design acceptance is well understood and considered
- 5+ years’ experience in a design role and poses qualifications in Interface Design or any similar area.
- Advanced skills in industry-leading software and technologies, such as Adobe Photoshop, Figma, inVision, Jira, Confluence, Trello, Google suite
- Ability to understand analytics data in order to make data driven decision as well as an ability to understand and design for personas
- Experience working in agile and lean environments
- Experience in digital design including website design, development, and maintenance/user interfaces as well as an understanding of the foundations of front-end web development
- Experience in delivering small to large UI projects from websites to apps
- Able to creatively communicate complex information, data, and messages using a visual medium
- Methodical with document creation and maintenance of digital files
