What does the job look like?

Linfox Intermodal is searching for an experienced Cross Dock Manager to join our Rail team based in Kewdale WA. As part of this role, you will monitor safety, service, performance and cost to ensure key customer KPIs are met within the Cross Dock Operation. You will manage and have direct oversight across both AM and PM shifts, ensuring that the operation delivers outcomes within tight deadlines, whilst always keeping safety at the forefront. This role will be working Monday to Friday starting between 7-8 am (or as required by operation). Key Areas:

- Participating and committing to Safety Standards and COR requirements
- Ensuring Cross Dock teams receive full and clear instructions surrounding the loading, transportation, and delivery of goods
- Management of all floor staff and coordination of bookings/allocations plus roster planning
- Assist in the development of relevant process and procedure and maintain ongoing reporting of operational and commercial metrics
- Management of all HR and Industrial relations matters across both shifts including mediation, consultation and investigations where necessary
- Meeting agreed KPI’s include service performance and ensuring that costs are with budget and contract expectations

- Previous experience managing an experienced workforce and working in unionized operations
- Ability to communicate effectively across a range of organizational levels, from senior management to floor staff
- Previous experience managing multiple cross dock shifts with up to 20+ staff
- Effective time management skills with a strong ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Familiarity with systems such as Excel, SAP and stocktaking processes is highly desirable
- An organised and systematic approach to work, and high-level attention to detail
