Stuartholme School, based in Brisbane’s western suburbs, is an independent Catholic Secondary girl’s school for day and boarding students. Since 1920 as part of the international network of Schools of the Sacred Heart, it has built a world-class reputation for excellence in educating and empowering young women. The school’s framework is guided by the timeless goals of Sacred

Heart Education that were first articulated 200 years ago.

The Board seeks to appoint an experienced educator who truly wants to make a difference in the lives of their students to be the next Principal of Stuartholme School. An individual who lives and breathes the mantra “To be the best we can be” will excel in this role. The key challenges of the role are:

- Accountability for the custodianship of Stuartholme’s assets and educational mission and build on the ethos and historical legacy by delivery of the strategic vision and goals.
- To embrace the existing energised, positive culture created by the outgoing Principal and build on its emphasis on personal wellbeing as a springboard to achieve academic excellence.
- To comprehend the intrinsic link between academic achievement and well-being to instil in every student the capacity for independent thinking, creating a foundation for the empowerment of young women.
- To accept that the attraction and retention of quality teachers underpins the success of the school and being able to articulate the unique selling proposition Stuartholme School offers for each teacher to maximise their professional and personal goals.
- To exercise oversight of major capital projects underway or about to be embarked upon, and ensure each project is delivered on time and budget.
- Your experience as an educational leader is coupled with extensive knowledge of contemporary academic and well-being programs for students. You have worked in a school with boarders and understand the unique nuances this brings to the school community. Your career demonstrates exemplary leadership and engagement of staff, students, parents and the wider community.
