**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced individual to lead a customer focused and proactive team to enhance customer experience and improve the team and organisation performance levels. In this position you would be responsible for Council’s buildings maintenance & operations, fleet and plant management, mechanical services, public place cleansing, public waste management functions and Civil maintenance in accordance with council’s strategic plan and operations program throughout the shire within adopted service standards and budgets.

**What you will be doing**:

- Manage and maintain council assets and/or infrastructure.
- Maintain building asset management databases.
- Manage the annual fire safety statement batches.
- Monitor work to maintenance activity specifications and schedules.
- Develop and review maintenance schedules and prioritise work orders.
- Coordinate and manage contracts, contractors, consultants and consultancy panels.
- Capture, review and regularly report performance data to senior management.
- Provide high level strategic or specialised advice to council and/or senior management.
- Develop infrastructure programs and policies.
- Develop and review council's maintenance activity plans and procedures
- Prepare correspondence, promotional material and council reports
- Develop internal and external partnerships to promote council services and facilities.
- Coordinate projects and key initiatives to improve business and service delivery processes.
- Maintain team engagement and facilitate a culture that reflects the corporate values.
- Plan, monitor and manage the team to achieve performance targets and business plan initiatives.
- Provide mentoring and coaching to team members.

**About you**:
To be successful in this role you will have:

- Degree in a related discipline
- NSW Drivers Licence - C Class
- First Aid & CPR certificate
- Previous Local Government Experience (Desirable)
- Demonstrated and proven leadership skills in managing large teams including change management and continuous improvement
- Knowledge of relevant legislation including Local Government and WH&S
- Experience engaging with the community on specific issues of concern and facilitating positive outcomes

**Position details**:
Permanent full-time role, CN0059 Salary: Starting From $172K per annum inclusive of Superannuation + Car Allowance $27K (inclusive of Superannuation)
