
Disability Support Worker

We are seeking **experienced female support workers** with a strong background in **mental health** to join a small, specialised team supporting an NDIS participant based in **Cleveland**.
This is a **high intensity role** requiring trauma-informed practice, psychological insight, and a calm, professional presence. The client presents with **Dissociative Identity Disorder, personality disorder traits, and perfectionistic behaviours**, and requires highly consistent, emotionally regulated support.
- Experience in **mental health support**, psychosocial disability, or complex trauma
- Currently studying or qualified in:
- **Psychology**:
- **Mental Health Nursing**:
- **Social Work** or other allied health fields with mental health focus
- Trauma-informed practice and strong **professional boundaries**:
- Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a structured support team
- **Non-smoker** (client has allergic asthma)
- Comfortable working around **pet birds (parrots)**:
- **Female only**, preferably aged **30+** (open to younger applicants if appropriate)
**Schedule**:
- **Tuesday & Wednesday day shifts** (6-7 hours each)
- **Friday overnight sleepover** following ECT (when recommenced)
- Ongoing roster, long-term preferred
