**About the role**

The Sustainability Lead is accountable for developing, implementing and managing environmental sustainability and emissions reduction strategies within the Integrated Gas (IG) business unit. The role will also lead efforts to measure, and monitor IG's environmental footprint, and ensure regulatory and voluntary reporting compliance. This includes the delivery of reporting and data governance associated Hydrocarbon Accounting (HCA).

This role ensures that accurate, timely, and transparent production, commercial, and emissions data is generated to meet regulatory, joint venture partner, and reporting obligations, while also driving initiatives that support Origin and APLNG’s climate and emissions reduction targets.

**Sustainability Reporting**:

- Co-ordinate the input of IG data and information into Origin and APLNG sustainability reporting ensuring accuracy of data and timely submission.

**HCA Framework Leadership**:

- Lead a high-performing, inclusive team that partners with business leaders to ensure the HCA framework delivers on regulatory, commercial and strategic needs.
- Oversee the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful reporting across measurement, allocations, and emissions performance. Provide strategic analysis that enables the business to make informed decisions and drive performance in alignment with Origin’s strategy.
- Champion transformation, compliance, and assurance across the HCA framework. Lead automation and process improvements, ensure governance controls are in place, and collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities, challenge the status quo, and embed change.

**Emissions Reduction Strategy & Delivery**:

- Coordinate and influence decarbonisation strategy for IG across APLNG, and Origin, including setting targets, aligning initiatives, and presenting to leadership and joint venture committees.
- Lead governance and reporting for decarbonisation activities, consolidating progress updates, risks, and milestones for internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as the central point of contact for decarbonisation and emissions across IG, ensuring alignment of workstreams, supporting business case development, and enabling consistent reporting through established project delivery mechanisms.
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments to inform strategy, influence policy, and ensure IG remains aligned with best practices and emerging technologies in emissions reduction and reporting.

- Tertiary level education in an Engineering, Finance, Accounting or Commercial field.
- Leadership and stakeholder management skills, including ability to manage multi-disciplinary team to achieve whole of business outcomes.
- Ability to work in a diverse cultural team environment; be able to work unsupervised; accept responsibility and act on directives.
- High level of interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interface with internal and external parties as required.
- Excellent skills in multi-tasking, prioritisation and time management with the ability to manage numerous tasks at any one time in a demanding environment.
- Self-motivated, passionate, highly efficient, proactive and professional with a respect for confidentiality.
- Significant experience in program management.
- Strategic thinker with knowledge of national and global trends in carbon and emission management and best practises.
- Experience in upstream gas and/or LNG production.
- A commitment to strong governance and compliance.
- Ability to develop robust business cases and articulate solutions.
