**Salary**: Our client, a barrel rejuvenation company, is currently seeking an experienced Machine Operator who is looking to challenge themselves and step up to a Supervisor role to join their team at their beautiful Barossa Valley location

**Duties will include, but are not limited to**:

- Supervise staff and workload.
- Operating machines, general manual handling and cleaning duties.
- Following barrel cleaning specifications with good eye to detail
- Set up machinery for operation.
- Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance.
- Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions.
- Drive MR truck and trailer combination
- Set up mobile plant at customer winery site (local and interstate)
- Operate LF Forklift when required, to transfer barrels
- Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance.
- Manage and perform quality control of cleaning process, follow reporting and record keeping procedures, and report problems to supervisor.
- Comply with all safety and health regulations.
- Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in work area.
- Previous machine operating experience in a wine barrel cleaning role, or similar relevant experience, within the wine industry advantageous
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced environment
- Must be detail oriented
- Understanding of production and cleaning processes
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions effectively and coordinate all activities with Operations Manager
- Ability to work in a team, but also to lead and work on your own
- Adherence to occupational health and safety requirements
- Be motivated with a good work ethic and a keen interest to learn
- Ability to manage changing priorities and work under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime to get the job completed

This position involves lots of manual work and would best suit applicants who are physically fit and in good health.

In conjunction with the above, the successful applicant may need to pass a Pre-Employment Physical and Drug and Alcohol screen, aswell as submit a minimum of two (2) contactable, work-related referees _must be supplied in order to be considered for this position._
