We are partnering with a successful multi-disciplined completions & commissioning specialist (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation - ME&I) who provide pre-commissioning and commissioning services to large scale projects across the country to identify an experienced **Tendering Manager** who can grow into a **General Manager - Tendering** role based out of Bondi Junction, NSW.

**The company**:
Our client is privately owned and provide pre-commissioning and commissioning services to major construction, infrastructure, mining & LNG projects across NSW and VIC, their team will grow from 175 employees to 350+ over the next 12 months.

**The opportunity**:
The Tendering Manager will manage the life cycle of project tenders, ensuring strategic winning solutions are embedded into robust tenders. You will lead and coordinate all aspects of tender activity that include Estimate, Schedule, Procurement, Engineering, Qualitative Submissions, Commercial and Legal, and Risk.

Drawing upon resources from internal Commercial, Operations and Engineering functions as required for a successful bid, this is an opportunity to have full responsibility of the tendering function of the Australian business as well as input into the strategic direction of the business.

Between tenders, this role will support the business as required, including business development and supporting the engineering & operations team.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Assess complex work scopes and completing a bid including:

- Multi discipline work scopes including Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control
- Completions Plan
- Commissioning Plan
- Resource requirements and mobilisation plan
- HSE documentation
- QA/QC documentation
- P6 schedules
- Manning histograms
- IR Plan
- Ensure winning proposal strategies are developed and implemented to ensure the highest probability of success
- Ensure all aspects of tender including supplier and subcontractor pricing remain competitive and within company scope
- Review tender documentation ensuring a full and complete understanding of the technical and commercial commitment
- Conduct risk assessments and management activities to evaluate all commercial, financial, legislative and resource risk associated with the tender
- Preparation of comprehensive project handover report for all successful tenders including bid strategy, pricing details and risk and opportunity
- Develop and maintain a positive relationship with key stakeholders and clients

**To be considered for this role you will require**:

- An Electrical background
- The ability to lead an opportunity through its tender lifecycle, in conjunction with senior management
- Substantial experience in a tendering role ideally tendering major projects
- Highly developed commercial, communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to write content for tender and bid documentation
- Entrepreneurial mindset to create sales opportunities
