We are looking for a Transportation leader, who has a strong understanding of the retail distribution landscape within Australia. You will help manage our distribution network across Australia and New Zealand. Following the Nike Logistics System principles, you will work hand in hand with our Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners to manage our daily transport and operational performance. Through your leadership, you will focus on delivering the present, whilst evolving for the future. You will be an advocate for solving problems to manifest excellence in all facets of our transport operations. You will play a critical leadership role, helping manage the transportation deliverables within the wider logistics strategy for Pacific. With an outsourced operation through a 3PL network, you will help manage relationships with our service partners, ensuring capability and evolution within our transport operations, as an accelerator for Pacific’s growth strategy, you will be responsible for delivering service performance daily. You will support the development of the Pacific outbound transportation strategy in close partnership with Geography Logistics teams and Functional partners. You will partner with Global Procurement, Geography Transportation leaders, and cross-functional team members to develop, source, and deploy best-in-class, innovative service providers. You will leverage analytical data insights to drive cost, service, and quality improvement opportunities. You will ensure that service providers are compliant with Nike’s requirements and standards. You will drive Sustainability and Lean thinking in the Outbound space and establish Sustainability as a priority with our service providers and help facilitate their Sustainability journey. You will help drive a culture of continuous improvement, and a mindset towards operational excellence. WHO WILL YOU WORK WITH? As a key teammate within our logistics operations team, you will work with a wide range of stakeholders. You will report to the Transportation, Customs & Trade Manager - Pacific, and work closely with the wider Pacific Logistics team. You will have daily engagement with the DC Operations Manager and their team, the NLS Manager, and the Inventory Fulfilment Planning Manager, and their team. You will work hand in hand with our 3PL partners and their teams. The engagement with them should look and feel like "One Team", a culture you will be responsible to support and drive. You will have numerous touchpoints into our wider Operations team, namely throughout our Marketplace Operations function, Technology and Supply Chain Innovation teams. You will leverage and build on our relationships with our geography partners, predominantly based in Portland, to support solution management, reporting around performance and cost, as well as driving best practice through shared learnings.
