**About Us**

Real Community Services was established in January 2006 and now provides thousands of personal support hours per week to hundreds of people with a disability such as mental health, acquired brain injury or neurological conditions by focusing on empowering and improving their lifestyles.

At Real Community Services (RCS) we provide, quality services to people living with a disability within an in-home or community setting. With a brilliant team across Sunshine Coast, Greater Brisbane, Ipswich, and the Gold Coast, we are there to help our Participants to achieve their goals to live a fulfilling life. **What we are looking for**:

- Suitable disability support worker with a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in providing personal care and supporting daily living activities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
- A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each individual
- Experience in supporting clients with BOC, Mental health, ASD and positive behaviours
- Must be patience, friendly and reliable
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evening shifts
- Availability: Monday to Saturday: 9am - 8pm

**Clients Supports Needs**:

- Understand the needs, goals, and daily activities of Participants.
- Use positive reinforcement and other techniques to support Participants in their daily routines.
- Medication prompting and light domestic assistance.
- Prompting assistance: personal care, meal preparation and managing appointments
- Physical assistance required with domestic duties and other tasks as required
- Develop meaningful and professional relationships with Participants and families.
- Community access: shopping, social outing and medical appointment

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Prior experience supporting clients with disabilities highly desirable
- Experienced in mental health, ASD and dementia
- Must have a QLD driver's licence and own reliable transport
- Current Paid employee Blue Card (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current Paid employee Yellow Card/NDIS Worker Clearance (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Current First Aid & CPR (or willing to obtain before employment)
- NDIS 'Worker Orientation' module (or willing to obtain before employment)
- COVID 19 Infection Control certificate (or willing to obtain before employment)
- Full Australian working rights
- Smart phone with internet access
- Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (3 or 4 doses)
- Two current (within the past 2 years) professional references from a supervisor will be required
