We are seeking an Engagement Manager to lead the school engagement strategy and oversee the operational delivery of admission pathways. In this role, you will manage the combined efforts of school outreach and events, ensuring the effective implementation of educational outreach programs and student equity initiatives. Your leadership will be instrumental in achieving key performance indicators and engagement goals.
Reporting to the Head of Program - Student Equity, the Engagement Manager leads a team of four direct reports, providing strategic direction and fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment.
Specific accountabilities for this role include:
- Develop and maintain Student Equity’s pre-tertiary schools’ engagement strategy, including identifying school tiers and targets and differentiated school and area strategic approaches, and coordinating associated documentation, monitoring and reporting against engagement metrics.
- Develop the Student Equity events strategy and manage the implementation of complex in-school and on-campus workshops and events, including the associated internal and external stakeholder liaison activities, risk mitigation and documentation.
- Support the operational aspects of the Gateway Admission Pathway in collaboration with Admissions, Scholarships and FSR and lead internal training requirements to ensure the pathway is communicated accurately and effectively, including maintaining up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure effective stakeholder management of external and internal partners to ensure delivery of high-quality educational programs and events as part of Student Equity’s programs.
**About You**:
- A relevant degree and experience, or an equivalent level of knowledge gained through any combination of qualifications, training, and experience. Expert knowledge of student equity and higher education landscape is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in developing engagement strategies and success in achieving program relevant targets, KPIs and financial management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to create strategic documents and high-level reports for senior leadership. - Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a demonstrated track record of fostering and maintaining strong leadership and a culture of high performance.
- Highly developed skills in managing competing deadlines, organisation and prioritisation across multiple workstreams.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the Australian school and University systems and contextual issues for schools and students from low SES backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to lead others and model the utilisation of evidence informed strategies for the work area and broader work area.
- A full and unencumbered driver's licence and the ability and willingness to work outside of normal working hours and work at locations across Sydney and NSW.
