**About the company**

This client is a leading Government Agency who is seeking an experienced Manager Communications and Engagement to join their team on a 9 month contract based in Sydney CBD.

**Day to day activities**
- Manage a high-performing team that can balance complex needs and priorities in an agile way
- Develop communication and engagement strategies in partnership with the Senior Manager that align with business needs and priorities
- Provide strategic advice and guidance to leaders and stakeholders across the division using your experience and critical thinking skills
- Oversee the delivery of strategic communication and engagement activities that reflect the company's vision, values, and priorities
- Develop engaging and targeted content that resonates with key audience groups, driving engagement that ultimately achieves business outcomes
- Create opportunities for staff to build relationships and increase engagement through learning and development
- Consult on the most appropriate and effective use of communication channels and branding to achieve communication and engagement objectives
- Implement metrics to evaluate the success of communication and engagement strategies and initiatives, and drive continuous improvement.
- Extensive experience in implementing communications strategies at Senior levels within an organisation through various activities, channels, and teams across a diverse organisation
- Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or a similar discipline, or equivalent experience
- Team management experience
- Strong stakeholder engagement
