Kleinfelder Australia is an environmental consulting firm providing professional and technical services for land contamination and remediation, environmental planning and approvals, ecology, flora and fauna, spotter catcher services, land rehabilitation, bushfire planning and design.

We are in search of a HR Manager who will have end to end responsibility for all HR related matters for the staff at the head office in addition to the geographically dispersed employee base of ~100 people. Plans, organizes and leads effective human resources programs for assigned areas in benefits, compensation, employee relations, employment, HR administration, performance management, organisational development/planning, HRIS, training or knowledge management. Uses knowledge of industry and/or professional guidelines and protocols to accomplish goals and objectives and solve complex problems.

We are looking for an approachable individual to optimise and lead out the HR function team with the support of the HR coordinator for the end-to-end people and culture value chain to drive the company's performance and sustainability in the face of evolving market dynamics.

**Role responsibilities include**:

- Serving as a strategic partner to the Senior/Executive Leadership team;
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to people managers (coaching, counselling, career development, disciplinary actions) to drive positive changes in the management of people and performance;
- Support the resolution of escalated and challenging / complex people issues, reducing risk for the company and improving overall business performance;
- Developing and implementing HR strategies to support the company's continued growth;
- Implementation of succession plans to ensure a strong pipeline of future talent;
- Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace;
- Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise;
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Support Staff member’s development plans and growth strategies;
- Work with and support the HR coordinator with the day-to-day talent acquisition and recruitment process while overseeing the onboarding and employee lifecycle experience at Kleinfelder;
- Administer compensation and benefit plans and maintain employee files and records.

**About you**
- Previous experience in Human Resources as a generalist / HR Manager, or similar role (8-10 years’), preferably within the Environmental sector;
- Ability to interpret HR legislation, policy and procedures (AUS wide knowledge around HR laws);
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Experience with different recruitment platforms;
- Be a trusted business partner and advisor to the Director and management team on key strategic decisions;
- Great people’s skills with a hands-on approach to HR, and comfortable dealing with various personalities within a rapidly growing business;
- Experience in conflict resolution and performance management;
- Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach.
