Purpose of Role:
To support the Weir Minerals business through the effective material movement and expediting of orders to meet company delivery requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
Objectives:
- Expediting of orders and materials to meet company delivery requirements.- Ensuring that scheduling and other clerical functions continue in a consistent manner.- Providing daily accountability throughout each working day, with a particular emphasis on safety, work to be undertaken and any specific customer and quality requirements.- Assisting and training the teams to be responsible and accountable for their total work in regard to the schedule, safety or delivery related matters.- Ensuring that all plans are being followed relating to resource allocation and management.- Ensuring all production instructions are accurate and meet the customers need.- Responsible for advising support staff of orders that will not meet customer promised date.- Ensure all stock transactions are recorded and production order material quantities are correct to ensure inventory accuracy.- Supporting the necessary LEAN initiatives, safety and continuous improvement programs.- Implementing hands on process improvements throughout the production facility.- Ensure any defective materials are quarantined.- Liaising daily with WMA personnel to keep up to date on requirements and provide feedback on actual performance.- Executing and enhancing the planned workflow processes through the effective material movement and expediting of orders resulting in 97+% on time delivery performance.- Ensuring a high standard of general housekeeping is maintained as per 5s principles.

Job Knowledge / Education and Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
- Good written and oral communication skills.- Sound organisational, people and time management skills.- A committed and proactive attitude towards Environment, Health and Safety.- A strong commitment to improve on time delivery.

Language Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.

Mathematical:
Reasoning Ability:
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- Forklift driver’s license.

Physical Demands:
- Standing and walking for up to 8 hours a day. Lifting up to 20kgs, repetitive upper and lower limb use. Wearing PPE for up to 8 hours a day.

Work Environment:
- Loud, outdoor work and exposure to mechanical moving parts. Appropriate PPE to be worn at all times.
