**Job Description**:
**What’s the opportunity?**

As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for working with a team of passionate engineers and analysts, managing and reporting on high-performance data. Most importantly, you will be a valued member of the wider engineering team, and what you do will be used by customers in homes and schools around the globe. You will tackle new and challenging problems working on a new generation of data processing and analytics systems for filtering, monitoring and security used at schools.

Here's how you'll do it?
- Liaise with stakeholders to determine what reports and dashboards need to be built
- Liaise with stakeholders to determine calculations are standardised
- Liaise with Business Analysts to ensure the accuracy of data and reports
- Liaise with the data engineering squad to ensure that data is available
- Creating and maintaining dashboards, database and analytical models
- Performing ad-hoc analysis

**Qualifications**:
**What you will bring**:

- Experience translating insights into decisions and actions that have a direct business impact
- Basic understanding of statistics
- Analytical mindset - curious, problem solver and attention to detail
- Ability to tell meaningful stories with data
- Strong competency with SQL; experience with big data SQL Query Engines like BigQuery or Snowflake would be good
- Experienced in Tableau or other visualization tools
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written - be able to break down complex topics into simple solutions and ideas
- Experience with large data sets
- Strong conceptual understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
- You’ll be open-minded and adaptable in responding to new challenges and opportunities
- You’ll demonstrate a love for continually learning and improving your skills and knowledge;
**You'll have**:

- Experience in a similar role is essential
- Ideally would have operated in a variety of roles within the Data space
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or evidence of professional development
- Fast learner and eager to absorb new emerging technologies
- Can-do attitude on problem-solving, quality and ability to execute
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Experience in big data is a plus
