**Description**:
Internal Communications Officer
**Location**: Melbourne
**Employment type**: Fixed Term 12 month Part Time (0.6 FTE)
**Salary**: $83,409 FTE plus 11.5% superannuation and salary packaging
About the role
We’re looking for a communicator who loves creating engaging content—from newsletters and intranet updates to videos and internal campaigns. In this 12-month, part-time role, you’ll support the delivery of key communication initiatives and help connect a diverse national workforce.
Reporting to the Business Partner, Internal Communications, you’ll play a hands-on role in helping our values and culture come to life through content.
**What you’ll be doing**:
Create written, visual and video content for internal platforms
Translate complex topics into clear, engaging communications
Coordinate content calendars and support events and updates
Design graphics or short videos using Canva or Adobe tools
Monitor and improve communication performance via feedback and analytics
About the team
The Transformation group drives organisational innovation, change management, and continuous improvement across Housing Choices Australia. It leads initiatives designed to enhance operational effectiveness, streamline service delivery, and build capacity to adapt to evolving housing demands and technological advancements. This group ensures the organisation remains agile and responsive, well-positioned to meet future challenges and opportunities.

**You will have**:
Experience in communications, journalism, or content creation
Excellent writing and editing skills across a range of formats
Basic visual design and/or video editing skills
The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
A collaborative, proactive and curious mindset
You must agree to undergo any required employment screening, including but not limited to a National Criminal History or Police Check, Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons Check, and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
