Due to expanded project requirements our client, an Australian based ASX listed gold and Nickel exploration company is currently seeking an Exploration Geologist to join their high performing, friendly and professional team.

This role that will see you spend time on site for drilling and exploration programs throughout the year as needed with the remaining time spent in the corporate office.

Reporting to the Exploration Manager you will assist in the development and implementation of exploration and resource evaluation programs including identifying and assessing project opportunities to enhance the project portfolio, the collection, review, interpretation and assessment of exploration and resource drilling results, design planning and implementation of exploration mapping and ensuring a safe system of work at all times.

**Key responsibilities and duties**
- Implementation of the exploration plan;
- Assist with drill program design, preparation, supervision, logging and interpretation;
- Creating geological models
- Field mapping, geochemical sampling and interpretation;
- Hydrogeological exploration and monitoring
- Assisting in maintaining and gaining new licences and environmental approvals
- Work with geological datasets to assist in target identification, review and development;
- Regional target evaluation and ranking;
- Assisting with heritage and environmental surveys and field work
- Supervision of rehabilitation activities; and
- Stakeholder liaison

**About you**

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in Geology or Earth Science
- 3-5 years experience
- Australian Drivers Licence
- Experience with Diamond, RC and/or Aircore drilling management
- Basic geophysical, geochemistry, and structural geology interpretation knowledge, and ability to integrate datasets to build models and identify targets
- Strong field-based geology skill set
- Good presentation and communication skills at all levels
- Demonstrated understanding of industry safety and environmental standards
