**Become a Key Player in Exceptional Patient Care: Unit Secretary Opportunity at SA Health**

Serving as the Unit Secretary for the HepatoPancreatoBiliary, Colorectal, GI Surgery and Liver Transplant specialties, you will act as the crucial communication link, facilitating interactions between various units, the hospital, university, patients, and external agencies. Your primary responsibilities will involve providing invaluable administrative and secretarial support to medical staff within the clinical units, while ensuring a highly organized and efficient office environment.

**About the role**:
Working as the Unit Secretary, some of your duties may involve:

- Providing a high level of administrative clerical support to the Unit by maintaining up to date filing systems, attending to facsimile communications, maintenance and repairs to office equipment, mail opening and distribution.
- Arranging Medical Staff appointments and Registrars’ rotations in conjunction with Human resources and Trainee Medical Officer (TMO) Unit.
- Providing a confidential and professional secretarial and typing service including correspondence, medico-legal reports and patient letters, to the Unit. This will include acting as the point of reference for those requiring access - particularly patients, relatives, resident staff, consultants, general practitioners, company representatives, solicitors and members of the public.

**About you**:

- Possess drive and initiative to further educate and learn within the role.
- Possess a high level of organisational and communication (written and verbal) skills.
- High level of typing skills (50-60 wpm) and able to perform high quality, accurate data entry.
- Demonstrated use of Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Previous experience in the provision of a confidential secretarial, typing and reception service.
- Experience in customer service role and in general administrative activities.
