**Administrative Excellence: Part-time Secretary - Director of Nursing and Midwifery Opening**
As the Secretary - Director of Nursing and Midwifery, you'll be the backbone of administrative support, ensuring seamless operations and exceptional service delivery. Your organizational prowess, communication skills, and attention to detail will be instrumental in managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and maintaining meticulous records. This pivotal role offers the chance to contribute to a dynamic healthcare environment while fostering professional growth within a supportive and inclusive organization.
**About the role**:
Reporting to the Administration Manager, this role is responsible for providing a comprehensive and confidential administrative, secretarial and receptionist service to the Nursing and Midwifery Director and Women's and Children's Division by monitoring workflow, prioritising work, and assisting with meeting work deadlines, including providing secretarial and administrative support. Duties for the role will include:
- Liaising with other departments, health, and tertiary education institutions, outside organisations and boards as they affect the department, nursing, medical, scientific, and administrative staff to arrange and confirm appointments or meetings.
- Answering incoming telephone calls, evaluating them for urgency and redirecting to the appropriate Departmental member if available.
- Contributing to the development of an integrated team approach and culture which is highly responsive to the needs of our consumers.
**About you**:
- Demonstrated ability to use word processing software.
- Demonstrated ability to provide a Dictaphone typing service.
- Ability to use a wide range of computer software packages, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision in meeting objectives
- Proven experience in providing general comprehensive and confidential clerical, typing and receptionist tasks.
- Experience in developing, maintaining, and controlling appropriate records and filing systems.
