As part of a large and multifaceted international finance team, work with Australia’s largest retail brands to manage treasury activity.
As the Head of Treasury, you will have responsibility for all treasury operations for both Country Road Group and David Jones entities across ANZ. You will partner directly with the respective CFOs and their teams to ensure effective management of all aspects of the treasury function. Reporting to the Group Head of Treasury and Tax based in South Africa, you will liaise and manage the relationships with our banking and financial services partners. With an Treasury Manager as a direct report, you will play a crucial role in the cash management process for all group retail entities.
Based in Melbourne with a hybrid mix of time in the office and from home, this role will suit an experienced finance and treasury specialist who thrives in a high paced and constantly evolving environment.
What does the role involve?
- Liquidity and cash management, bank debt facilities, transactional banking services, currency risks and hedging
- Managing/Forecasting cashflow requirements, interest and bank charges to ensure liquidity requirements are met
- Managing transactional banking facilities inclusive of merchant services and new or potential new tender types
- Managing FX exposures and compliance with Treasury policies, including hedge accounting
- Manage FX hedging to provide certainty over cost margin and group profitability
Who are we looking for?
- Previous experience in a similar senior treasury role
- CA/CPA Qualified
- Experience with financial systems, preferably Oracle Financials and EPM or equivalent reporting/forecasting tool
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial data in ways that are effective and readily understood
- Appreciation for FX, hedge accounting and treasury policy management
- Proven interpersonal, influence and relationship management skills
- Strong Business acumen with an interest/experience in the retail industry highly desirable
