Hays is excited to be partnering highly respected Australian company that is a global leader in its industry. They are offering a rare opportunity for individuals who are looking to advance their careers.

They're seeking a highly motivated individual who has previous experience in a big organisation and wants to develop and strive within the Markets and Treasury (M&T) Accounting. They require someone who can interact with multiple stakeholders and help build a strong presence for the Group, impacting financial control processes, technical and accounting policies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Assist with the management of emerging risks within the organisation, ensuring that they are well-known and properly managed.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards, policies, legislation, and regulations, including statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in the response to issues raised by internal and external governance stakeholders, taking ownership of identified actions and monitoring their completion.
- Support major programs of work, embedding financial controls into the design to mitigate potential risks.
- Foster an environment that encourages team members to challenge and improve existing programs.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers and key stakeholders, while maintaining an independent viewpoint.
- Collaborate with the Group Financial Policy team and all M&TF (Marketing and Trade Finance) teams to meet finance customers' needs.
- Liaise with the Head of Financial Regulatory Governance as the risk counterpart.

Key Skills and Requirements for the role:

- CA qualified
- Strong knowledge of financial controls, risk management, and business governance.
- Familiarity with relevant standards, policies, legislation, and regulations.
- Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
