Let’s care for everyone’s tomorrow so we can create a better future together. **Internal Controls Analyst** **| Sydney NSW (preferred)** **You'll be responsible for**: - Capture detailed end-to-end operating processes and provide input into the identification of control gaps, weaknesses and opportunities for improvement. - Manage a pipeline of processes and produce status reports of the Internal Control team's progress. - Support the business and other operational areas by providing guidance during implementation of new processes and the transition to BAU. - Assist in the preparation of process mapping workshops including maintaining relevant documentation with strict version control. - Assist on an "as-needs" basis with complementary remediation activities currently being undertaken in the business6. Responsible for ensuring the correct risk and controls overlay the end to end process mapping and document management to support the control process. - Work in close partnership with and take advice from divisional Risk & Compliance on the overall risk framework, internal control design and all compliance obligations. - Cooperate fully, seek learnings and implement improvements following any formal or informal assurance review activities undertaken by divisional R&C, internal or external audit. **Important to your success**: - Audit and process improvement background highly regarded. - Excellent time management and attention to detail. - Exceptional planning, organisational skills and problem solving ability. - Highly tuned stakeholder engagement skills. - Ability to analyse information, probe for clarity and think systematically. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Exposure to the operations of an insurer or other financial services organisation preferred but not essential. - Operational Design Excellence background - focus on Internal Controls. - Six Sigma or equivalent useful but not essential. - Tertiary qualification is Business, Finance or related fields. **What's on offer?** - Access on-demand lifelong learning and take control of your career development. - Learn through being supported and encouraged to take on new challenges that will help you to develop new skills - Be part of a team that’s open-minded, supportive, approachable and genuinely focused on customer outcomes - We understand about work-life balance, we are always willing to discuss flexible & remote working options with our employees.
