**About the opportunity**:
We have an opportunity for a hands-on **Inventory Controller **to support the day-to-day inventory control activities across our SA finished goods warehouses, ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained and that we deliver on the promise of quality, service, and efficiency to our customers.

This role will see you working closely with the internal and external Detmold customers to ensure key processes are achieved, including but not limited to:

- Championing safety first behaviours and the Detmold Way values in all that you do.
- Monitoring inventory levels and coordinating stock replenishment, dispatch, stock transfers, deliveries/pickups, and processing etc., with accuracy and pace.
- Maintaining inventory control systems and practices, including inventory records and data.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders regarding inventory levels.
- Assisting with discrepancy investigations, stock reconciliations or quality issues.
- Reviewing existing inventory processes and making recommendations to increase efficiency.
- Safely operating high-risk equipment as required.
- Assisting with general warehouse/ad hoc duties as required.

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Demonstrated commitment to safety and proven track record in contributing to a safety culture.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role - preferably in a high-volume warehouse.
- Hold a current high-risk licence with experience operating a high reach truck.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trusted relationships with team members and stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to solve unexpected problems.
- Ability to work collaboratively across work groups and manage competing demands.
