The Operating Theatre Technician is an integral person in the dynamic operating theatre team and is responsible for the preparation of the operating room, procedure room and equipment, including the maintenance and safety of these. They are also responsible for safe patient transfer and positioning on the operating table. As part of the multidisciplinary team, theatre technicians are accountable for ensuring that all tasks are undertaken in an expert manner providing excellence in patient care. The Operating Theatre Technician Trainee will be supported to obtain their Certificate IV in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technical Support) to ultimately fulfil the Operating Theatre Technician role.

**Your New Division**
