We now have an exciting opportunity for a People & Culture Business Partner at our Melbourne factory site.
**About the Role**
This position will be responsible for providing operational and generalist human resource guidance, advice and support to ensure the company meets all legal and legislative requirements in our primary manufacturing site in Boronia Melbourne. This position will also have HR operational responsibility for our small size Australia and New Zealand sales branch teams.
This position will be based in Melbourne (Boronia), Australia with a hybrid work arrangement and will report directly into the Chief People & Culture Officer.
**Key responsibilities**:
Your core responsibilities will be as follows:
- Provide an advisory and support service to all managers and employees on the full spectrum of human resource activities (for example health & safety, training, employment relations; interpretation of relevant industrial instruments and legislation; and advice on contemporary HR practices)
- Complete HR metrics and provide regular reports to management (e.g., turnover, headcount, leave liability, exit interview statistics etc.)
- Contribute to the review and development of policies and procedures based on relevant legislation and contemporary HR management practices to support organisational needs.
- Participate in HR projects as directed, including research and preparation of reports.
- Providing employee relations advice to the organisation to ensure legislative compliance.
- Advise and support managers throughout informal and formal procedures including disciplinary, grievance, capability, & the conduct of sickness absence review meetings ensuring adherence to Company policies
- Providing assistance and support in the recruitment process, including drafting & advertising vacancies, liaising with agencies, preparing selection criteria summary, arranging assessments, conducting reference checks and constructing offers & employment contracts. Develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate staff induction and exit interview processes and make recommendations as appropriate.
**Desired Qualifications and work experience**
- Degree qualified in Human Resource Management or other relevant area, or equivalent work experience.
- Prior experience of 5 to 6 years in an HR/ER advisory role, developing effective strategies, solutions and interventions to address the full range of employee relations matters.
- Solid knowledge of industrial relations including legislation, standards and award interpretation Exposure to the manufacturing industry (specifically food and packaging) is advantageous.
