**About the Role**:
The Intake & Assessment Clinician provides an intake function to the Monash Health Drug and Alcohol Services through conducting comprehensive AOD assessments, treatment planning, referral and linkage into Community AOD Services. The clinician also provides the first point of contact, engagement and triage of all clients and their families seeking to access Alcohol and Other Drugs services. They will be responsible for the assessment and referral into the Community Residential Withdrawal Unit beds managed by the Monash Health AOD Service, through receipt of referral from state-wide intake providers as well as from other stakeholders including internal referrals and direct client presentations**.**
The Intake and Assessment Clinician will provide the management and coordination of referrals received from various stakeholders within the state of Victoria.
This is a Full Time ongoing Position Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5pm (Some flexibility with start/ finish times)

**About You**
- You will have the ability to communicate information and expectations clearly and concisely in a way that builds effective and collaborative working relationships with others and able to maintain a professional demeanour and serve as a role model for all staff, both as a clinician and in line with behavioural expectations. You currently hold a qualification as a Registered **Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN), with full AHPRA registration** eligibility and have sound knowledge of the **Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022** and other Acts/legislation relevant to working with children, young people and adults in a mental health and/or AOD setting (as relevant to service).
- You will also have:_
- Demonstrated effective stakeholder engagement skills, including the capacity to engage with multidisciplinary teams within a mental health and /or AOD setting.
- Demonstrated high level of interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and experience of working with a range of internal and external stakeholders and partners.
- Demonstrated time management skills including an ability to effectively organise the workload with competing priorities, limited resources and the complexities of multiple site communications and service delivery within a matrix style organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with evident sound conflict resolution skills.
- Proven experience and knowledge of contemporary goals and priorities in mental health service delivery.
- Sound knowledge of the National Practice Standards for the Mental Health Workforce 2013.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sound computer literacy skills.
