The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) is seeking a Media and Public Affairs Assistant to provide administrative and publicity support across the activities of the Media and Public Affairs team.

ABOUT THE POSITION:
You will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Media and Public Affairs team including but not limited to, processing of invoices, managing office supplies, archiving and filing, printing and deliveries and mailing of media materials. Other key responsibilities include:

- Preparing copy for NGV promotional material; preparing and disseminating images and relevant captions and descriptions for exhibitions to media under the guidance of the Media and Public Affairs Officer.
- Completing the daily media clippings report and liaising with the NGV’s media monitoring service, ensuring daily service is provided as per the contract agreement.
- Co-ordinating logistics and managing filming requests and booking photography and content shoots, as required.
- Providing publicity support to the NGV media team where required on NGV and NGV partner publicity campaigns, including creation of media releases, media kit materials, media list invitations, strategic media blasts and monitoring of media inbox.

To be successful you will possess a relevant tertiary qualification coupled with some experience in the fields of media, communications, public relations or a related field. Your sound administrative knowledge will include the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form. You will be detailed focussed, driven to achieve team goals, and organised with capacity to plan and prioritise workloads in order to achieve goals.
