**About the role**

Reporting to the Underground Mining Superintendent, the Underground Communications Technician requires responsibility for, and ownership of, the underground mine communication, network and IoT infrastructure and systems.

This critical role is a chance to be part of a new underground mine, where you will have exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, offering you the opportunity to build a system from the ground up.

Key result areas in this role include:

- Configuration, installation assistance and support of equipment in the underground communication network
- Working with and supporting underground communications systems alongside the Underground Mining Contractor
- Managing assigned projects and program components to deliver services in accordance with established objectives
- Develop systems management procedures, policies, guidelines, and knowledge base
- Assist with developing systems for future expansion activities i.e., stope design.
- Consistently demonstrate and reflect behaviours, actions, and attitudes in line with the Evolution Values

**About you**

Our aim is to ensure our people are developed to enable them to progress their career. You will be a driven and collaborative Underground Communications Technician looking to build the mine of the future. It is also important that you have/can demonstrate:

- Australian Trade Certificate in Electrotechnology, Communications or equivalent Risk management experience
- At least 3 years’ experience with underground network and communications
- Knowledge of Digital Mine UHF Radio Systems, WiFi, LTE, Optic Fibre
- Can develop excellent relationships with peers, leaders, and contractors
- Self-directed to achieve individual, team and organisational goals
