**Job Overview**:
Job requirement:

- **4-6 years** of experience as a Database Specialist in **Microsoft SQL Server**.
- Experience and expertise with **Microsoft SQL database administration**, **T-SQL development**, and **PowerShell Scripting**.
- Exposure to Database monitoring and health check tools.
- Experience in database maintenance, like fragmentation checks including daily **Backups and Recovery**, re-index operations, update statistics, and other system commands such as DBCC and DMVs
- Exposure to configuring and managing SQL Server High-availability data solutions **Log shipping**, Mirroring, and data synchronization solution Replication.
- Must have good exposure in setting up and troubleshooting the Always-On High availability solutions.
- Must have experience in PowerShell scripting and good to have knowledge in **DBA tools**.
- Good knowledge of designing database files and layouts for Temp DB
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience in creating database objects such as tables, views, stored procedures, Triggers etc.
- Generate code to Extract, Transform and Load (**ETL**) data from one data source to another (**SSIS**).
- Performance tuning of key queries.
- Good exposure to **OLA Hallengren** and **Brent Ozar** performance monitoring scripts.
- Identify and write the best possible code in case of new deployments or when rewriting code when migrating to a newer version of SQL Server.
- Experience in database security and auditing.
- Experience monitoring multiple databases; database performance management and tuning.
- Experience performing database migrations; experience analyzing current database performance and making projections for future growth.
- Good to have knowledge on Reporting tools like PowerBI
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Good team player and able to work with teams across the regions.

**Must Have**
- MS SQL Server Database Administration.
- T-SQL Development: Writing, understanding and modifying the existing SQL queries(CRUD, Joins, Sub queries etc.), stored procedures, functions and triggers.
- PowerShell Scripting: Writing, understanding and modifying the existing PowerShell scripts and new scripts as per the requirement.

**Good to have Knowledge in**
- PowerBI
- SSIS
- DBATools

**Qualification Required**:
