SQL Database Administrator

**Where you’ll fit in**:
As a Database Administrator (Microsoft Azure SQL Server DBA) in our Managed Services Team. Reporting into the Operations Manager - Managed Services.

We'll hire in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

**Here’s a sneak peek into what you’ll spend your time doing**:

- Operate on client projects as well as provide level 2/3 support to the VDBA Support team to support VDBA clients.
- Monitor client database operational functions and statistics, report issues and potential impacts to the business and provide solutions to optimise performance.
- Perform IT operations such as network configuration/installation and maintenance, SQL Server backups and identify operational problems and then contribute to their resolution.
- Liaise directly with clients to identify and clarify requirements, as well as provide well-informed advice.

**Technology you’ll get to play with**:
Microsoft SQL Server 2000, 2005, 2008, 2008R, 2012, 2014 to Current. Microsoft Azure.

**What we’re looking for in our next awesome human**:

- Proven experience (minimum 4 years) in the day-to-day database administration activities for operational databases and Database Administration of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 onwards, Performance Tuning and Troubleshooting. Experience with:

- Azure cloud environments.
- Installing and configuring SQL Servers.
- Backup & Recovery Tasks.
- Stored Procedures, Views, Function, Triggers and Indexing.
- Writing T-SQL including troubleshooting and tuning.
- High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) Technologies.
- Microsoft SQL Replication and Microsoft Clustering.
- Defining Database Server Security, User Creation, Roles and Permission.
- Migrations and Upgrades.
- SQL Database Design and Development.
- Microsoft Certification to MCSE level will be highly regarded.
- Due to our ISO27001 Compliance we require all staff to have a clean criminal record, we will facilitate a police check upon acceptance of an offer.
