**Job Description**:
Based in Western Australia and reporting into the Senior Manager, HSE - Resources and Industrials, this role will lead our Minerals, Oil and Gas sector nationally. With sites across WA, SA, NSW, QLD and NT that service our sizable operations, you will have 6 reports directly supporting these prominent Mining and Oil and Gas customer sites. Working closely with the General Manager for Minerals, Oil and Gas you will present a safety review monthly, discussing performance, incidents, emerging issues and new safety initiatives. The operations and customers are highly engaged with safety across their high profile, sometimes complex and diverse sites.

This is an exciting time to join our Mineral and Oil and Gas business and bring your prior experience of servicing the Resource sector to the table with a global player in the market. This newly created role presents you with the opportunity to shape and improve the HSE Management systems and strategy in collaboration with the business, for this high performing sector. You will support your team, understanding that your success is driven by theirs. Responsibilities include:

- Directly assist operations and coordinating resources to execute contracts nationally.
- Proactively establish relationships with key customers.
- Oversee safety on all operations and continually update the HSE management system.
- Auditing assurance across all operations within your sector.
- Oversite of lag and lead metrics and inputs into TRAC.
- Planning processes, each year establish financial plans and ensure consistency and accountability for progress.
- Management review forums monthly with General Manager.
- Involvement in Tender processes, coordinating HSEQ responses
- HSEQ management system implementation and maintenance

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and / or other relevant discipline.
- Tertiary HSE qualifications (highly desirable)
- Dangerous Goods qualifications/ training (desirable)

**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will:

- Have multiple years' experience in a hands-on and strategic safety leadership role.
- Come from a sector that has a strong resources interface with experience servicing the mining industry ideally.
- Knowledge and experience of Mineral and il and Gas customers.
- Transport knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation
- Possess the ability to travel as required interstate, though will manage your own travel requirements in conjunction with the business needs.
