Claims Management Officer

We are currently looking for an experienced Claims Management Officer to join the team based in Brisbane. The Claims Management Officer’s role is to process claims in accordance with the requirements of our contractual arrangements. The role responsibility includes full claims management responsibilities according to the delegations of authority once granted.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of detailed reports and communications to external parties including formulating settlement recommendations;
- Management of portfolio of claims as directed by the Team Leader;
- Adherence to CL processes following handover of claims from adjuster to CCT;
- Responding to Client and Customer enquiries;
- Liaison with Field Adjuster and Desktop Adjuster as required;
- Separates issues into their components to compare and assess the problem and any associated risks;
- The ability to demonstrate concern for satisfying one' s external and/or internal customers;
- Displays an ongoing commitment to learning and self-development;
- Identifies own strengths and weaknesses and continuously works to enhance skills and improve professionally;
Ideally you will possess:
- High School Certificate
- Two years claims management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
- Ability to use independent judgement and make appropriate insurance claims adjustment decisions and determinations
- Ability to document work in progress
- Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills
