**About the Team**:
The IT Service Management team within the Department of Education's Information & Technologies Branch is a collaborative and dynamic team & is dedicated to implementing and improving IT processes, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services, and supporting the department's vision of an equitable and high-performing education system.

**Your Opportunity**:
As the ICT Configuration Manager within the Department, your role is pivotal in leading the development and implementation of best practices in ICT Configuration Management.Located in Brisbane's CBD and part of the IT Service Management team, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure adherence to the department's configuration management process. Reporting to the Manager, IT Service Management, you will foster relationships, participate in cross-functional initiatives.
Your Role
The ITC Configuration Manager will have responsibility for, but not limited to the following:

- Lead the development of the branch's ICT Configuration Management capabilities, ensuring staff understanding and acceptance of the process.
- Develop and implement metrics reporting in accordance with ITIL standards, and ensure compliance with the ICT Configuration Management process, standards, tools, procedures, and metrics.
- Establish and maintain a secure Configuration Management System (CMS) to store Configuration Item (CI) data for accurate risk assessment, incident resolution, and tracking of software, systems, documents, and service dependencies.
- Conduct regular audits of the configuration management system, verifying data quality and compliance with internal and external requirements.
- Enhance and promote Configuration Management policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring compliance and reducing risk by implementing effective processes and controls for maintaining the CMS and supporting system integrity and security.
