We are on the search for a Head of Cloud Platforms to join our client’s inclusive and innovative company based in Melbourne and Brisbane. This is a highly attractive opportunity to join Envirosuite, a industry leader in environmental intelligence. Envirosuite provides solutions to organisations to address environmental impact via science and technology.

As the Head of Cloud Platforms, you will work closely with the CTO and lead the Cloud and DevOps teams to deliver high quality cloud solutions. This will include being responsible for effective development, management, and scaling of cloud-based services. You will play a crucial role in shaping cloud strategy, enhancing Envirosuite’s offerings, and ensuring the reliability and security of the cloud platforms.

This is a full-time role, located in Melbourne or Brisbane

About You:

- You have a strong knowledge of Cloud Platforms, in particular AWS
- You have management experience and a team player mentality/empower the team
- Familiarity and experience with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and trends in cloud technology including DevOps
- You are dedicated to your own continuous learning and development as technology is forever changing
- Budget management and vendor relationship management experience
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills

The Role:

- Lead the Cloud and DevOps teams to produce high quality, scalable cloud-based services.
- Work closely with the CTO and key stakeholders to produce a technology strategy that is best suited for the company
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of a robust and scalable cloud infrastructure. Assess emerging cloud technologies to drive innovation where possible
- Ensure that the cloud platforms adhere to internal and external security policies and regulations
- Continuously improve the performance and reliability of cloud services, addressing any issues that may arise promptly.
- Cost Optimisation and Budget Oversight
- Oversee the healthy growth and development of the team as a unit, including identifying and hiring new talent to complement the skills and culture of the team.

**Experience**:

- High level infrastructure design and implementation
- Leadership in the Cloud and DevOps space. Ideally full ownership of the space so there’s in depth knowledge across multiple facets needed to succeed in this role
- Advanced knowledge and skills in infrastructure automation and deploying infrastructure as code
- Hands-on administration, maintenance, problem solving, design and implementation skills and knowledge across the following areas:

- AWS Core Services
- AWS Security Services
- AWS Application Hosting
- Hybrid and Cloud-Native Networking
- Infrastructure automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Infrastructure and Software CI/CD Pipelines (GitLab, Bamboo, Jenkins)
- Monitoring, alerting and logging (NewRelic, CloudWatch, CloudTrail)
- Microservices architectures and containerisation and orchestration (Spring Framework, Docker, AWS ECS, Kubernetes)

**Salary**: $200k+ Super
