Software Technical Specialist

This role will see you work with both customers and projects teams to ensure that the technical solution is being developed, configured, and delivered as per customer requirements.
**Job Description** The value-add things you’ll be doing**:
**Customer Focus**
- Provide internal and client facing technical delivery and support to facilitate successful client projects.
- Work with customers to efficiently and effectively deliver on their requirements based on agreed and approved design.
- Anticipate the needs of customers exhibiting strong customer and service orientation.
- Be proactive in recommendations of best practice as to how functions should be implemented.
- Provide support and guidance for clients with their UAT, as well as resolution of issues raised.

**Technical Delivery of Customer Solutions**
- Work closely with the Solution Specialists to refine the business and technical requirements.
- Ensure that solutions are developed within agreed timeframes and to the agreed scope such that business requirements are met.
- Develop solutions that meet the security and privacy standards of illion.
- Respond to high severity systems problems; resolving them quickly and effectively.
- Effectively communicate the status of development activities to the Project Manager.

**Continuous Improvement & Process Adherence**
- Consistently review processes and procedures during implementations ensuring that improvements, when identified, are made.
- Adhere to published processes and procedures and recommend enhancements to process and procedures where appropriate.
- Working across teams and functions to ensure the ongoing health and performance of IT systems are maintained and enhanced.

**Qualifications** The experience and qualifications you’ll need to be successful**:

- Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
- Work as part of a team.
- Identify problems, design solutions, analyse existing code.
- Analyse data and develop logical solutions to problems.
- Ability to communicate problems of a technical nature to all levels of management.

**Essential Technologies**
- XML.
- HTML user interface knowledge and design principles
- Understanding of Web Development.
- Software Development Life cycle
- SQL Server or Oracle databases (T-SQL, PL/SQL concepts).

**Desirable Technologies and Skills**
- C#.
- XSLT.
- CSS.
- JavaScript, jQuery.
- Knowledge of the credit origination process.
