Our client is a leading food processor who are currently looking for an Afternoon Production Supervisor for their Melbourne site. This role will have responsibility for quality across allocated production areas and leadership across production lines. Please note that to be eligible for this role, availability for shift work is essential, including occasional Saturday shifts.

Key Accountabilities:

- Leadership of the Production department and identifying training and skill needs for the team
- Overseeing appropriate safety and quality (HACCP) and behavioural training across the whole team; identifying and correcting any OH&S issues
- Promoting a high-performance team culture with a focus toward Safety, Quality & Customer Service
- Engage the shop floor and develop team leaders
- Identify improvements for safety, quality and overall site performance
- Ensuring the product specifications are adhered to at all times
- Communicating job expectations and train employees and ensure that assigned tasks are completed accurately and within a timely manner
- Identifying areas of improvement and communicate innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices to the Plant Manager
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable leadership experience within a similar role within the food industry
- Strong understanding of quality systems and OH&S
- Proven experience in a similar food manufacturing-based role
- Great communication, organisational and time management skills
